Living On the Residue

Living On The Residue
by Greg Englesson
Thinking of the state of mind that crucified the infidel
trying to touch who you where before you tangled up and fell
wondering how I could glimpse a bit inside your lovely shell
praying that someday we may just have to go embrace this hell
Living on the residue, Living living on the residue due due,
living living on the residue, living living living on the residue due due
Beautiful abundant land from filthy shining sea you see
people buzz around inside their tiny tin machinery
monkey mind inside the head driving the famed insanity
dirty lungs adhere to air fowled by the fear appears to be
Living on the residue, Living living on the residue due due,
living living on the residue, living living living on the residue due due
Ruled by a doctrine that will make you want to clutch and grab
as you wonder why your not so happy and in fact your sad.
because you can’t get what you need, they take what they want, your mad
because you wish you had what they have, now you see you have been had
Living on the residue, Living living on the residue due due,
living living on the residue, living living living on the residue due due
I don’t want to end this song in such a depressed mental state
I would like to feel all your love and not at all so much your hate
maybe we could see we hold the key to turn the path of fate
realize the need to spread the wealth before it gets to late
Living on the residue

Bank Fuck

Bank Fuck
by Greg Englesson
Well it happened just the other day
I had a tall stack of bills to pay
so I wrote my way out of debt
and I even paid up the rent
then the landlady called me up
screaming... she’s nuts... into my gut
said I wrote out a bad check
that bounced her pain into my neck
Bank Fu uck Bank Fu uck Bank Fu uck Bank Fu uck
See I transferred the account
now I have the wrong amount
they punched in the improper code
and my balance became zero
so I got on the telephone
to get my cash or a loan
they transferred me to hold
now I’m 99 years old
Bank Fu uck Bank Fu uck Bank Fu uck Bank Fu uck
Now I’m standing in the endless line
wasting more & more of precious time
a man in front of me
Just won that lottery
years of deposit
with no withdrawal
Now I know I ain’t got it
I can hear that fat vault call
Bank Fu uck Bank Fu uck Bank Fu uck Bank Fu uck
Tell the teller hello window
do ray me fa so lot’s of dough
she points to that cold cash machine
punch it if you want that green morphine
what is my number
I’ll have to sit and wonder
0 4 3 9 2 6
I just want my money fix
Bank Fu uck Bank Fu uck Bank Fu uck Bank Fu uck

The Decider
by Greg Englesson
He was the Decider... he’d decide for you and me
He was the decider... decider he would be
He was the decider... knew what he would do
He was the decider... did he have a clue?
D D Decider D D D Decider D D Decider Decider
He was the decider... ate hamburgers on a bun
he was the decider... liked to joke and have some fun
He was the decider... watched that foxy news
He was the decider... chose a life for you to loose.
D D Decider D D D Decider D D Decider Decider
(Whistle Break)
It’s black and white boy
We let him talk to his adviser... because he was the decider ya all
Is that what made him wiser... ooh that little kisser.
He sure weren’t no realizer... He’s was here for every miser
Sometimes he might flip a coin because he would decide to decide
even though, he might not know... what to decide
eny meany miney moe ... gonna catch them senators by their toes
If they holler gonna throw them some doe ray me

Oil & Guns
by Greg Englesson
Oil & guns, Oil & guns
just keep buying Oil and guns.
Maybe a bomb, maybe your son,
keep on marching with oil & guns
could be a tank driven by a daughter,
blasting heavy metal into lambs at a slaughter
Oi Oi Oil, Oi Oi Oi Oil,
Oil & guns, Oil & guns,
keep on buying Oil & guns
They parade the latest craze across the heart on my sleeve
I buy what they sell as the innocent bleed
The funny thing is nothing at all
we’re paying the piper at this masquerade ball
Oi Oi Oil, Oi Oi Oi Oil,
Oil & guns, Oil & guns
just keep buying Oil & guns
Champagne glasses toast an empty banquet
grunts blindly roast free to want what they get
we buy fads and gadgets that fade the next day
as we push our boy’s and girls down into harms way
Oi Oi Oil, Oi Oi Oil, Oi Oi Oil, Oi Oi Oil.

I’m Just A Kid
by Greg Englesson
Show me modern culture
‘cause I am here to learn
you throw away the future
with all you bury and you burn
I’m just looking up to you dad
and your economic crap
commercials raise and feed fads
I need some kind of map
don’t keep it hid, I’m just a kid
look what you did, I’m just a kid
I’m helpless in these diapers
I eat sleep shit and piss
the worlds full of vipers
please let me hug your fist
I know your ego is your style
even though it is your pain
let the pleasure of my smile
sooth your soul so it seems sane
don’t keep it hid, I’m just a kid
look what you did, I’m just a kid
you say we will inherit
I say you took out a loan
you say it’s up to us to fix it
well I don’t like your tone
you got us into this mess
now wake up and grab a mop
you need to just expect less
live with what you got
don’t keep it hid, I’m just a kid
look what you did, I’m just a kid

All Along the World

All Along The World
by Greg Englesson
Skipping rocks out to sea
look at you and look at me
All along the world
executives sit in big board rooms
devising ways to trap the moon
All along the world
billionaires buy and build despair
if only they new how to share
All along the world
Produce and products sit in stores
as children sit and starve at the doors
All along the world
One big ball of life spinning round day and night
War and hunger pull a knife as peace feasts on in black sunlight
it ain’t right no it ain’t right
On a mountaintop trees come down
a mine collapsed in a steal town
All along the world
missiles whistle familiar tunes
as monsters lurk in dark lagoons
All along the world
science slice poke a pigeon hole
in some strange way it takes it’s toll
All along the world
now that we know what we do
we still don’t seem to have a clue
All along the world
One big ball of life spinning round day and night
War and hunger pull a knife as peace feasts on in black sunlight
it ain’t right no it ain’t right
Fairies flutter for those who see
and wish and dream and who believe
All along the world
the earth may shake up a tidal wave
lap up towns and dig up graves
All along the world
but she knows what she must do
it’s all a part of me and you
All along the world
so don’t you fret now you can see
have no regrets we must be free
All along along long World!

Stop the War

Stop the War
by Greg Englesson
and all the people came from all around
they joined together so the peace would abound
from all walks of life with diverse back grounds
many different beliefs with one common ground
stop the War
let peace endure
stop the War
let peace endure
To live with each other without violence
sister and brother in complete alliance
we must shake off the shackles of imposed consciousness
realize what we are in complete confidence
stop the War
let peace endure
stop the War
let peace endure
as War rages on in the human minds eye
flowers keep smiling in butterfly skies
casualties tear the sad face of despair
while peace spreads its arms to embrace and to care
stop the War
let peace endure
stop the War
let peace endure

Teflon Tourist

Teflon Tourist
by Greg Englesson
Teflon Tourist
with their Teflon soul
sucking up the culture
into a Teflon hole
Going to your country
to relax and tan my skin
get a deal on memorabilia
photograph your hungry kin
witness the atrocities
taking in the sights
ignore the hypocrisy
going out to get a bite
Teflon Tourist
stuck up in their conceit
Teflon Tourist
living a lie that can’t be beat
Teflon Tourist
with their Teflon soul
sucking up the culture
into a Teflon hole
walking on the sandy beach
swimming in the sea
people sweat cents in a shop
in a Nike factory
I flew upon a jet
to a land where they only walk
people here can’t read or write
I type on my lap top
Teflon Tourist
stuck up in their conceit
Teflon Tourist
living a lie that can’t be beat
Teflon Tourist
with their Teflon soul
sucking up the culture
into a Teflon hole
I’ll analyze this culture
with my stories on Teflon
sure I’m an ethnocentric vulture
but at least I’ll have my fun
well it’s almost time for me to leave
go back home to my big house
where I’ll eat my snacks and watch TV
while you live hand to mouth

Tell Me Why
by Greg Englesson
Tell me why the wind blows up in the trees
Tell me why the waters of winter must freeze
Tell me why Tell me why
Tell me why the soil erodes with the tears of the heavens
Tell me why the days of the week equal seven
Tell me why Tell me why
Tell me why a hug relieves the pain and the stress
Tell me why the human must make such a mess
Tell me why Tell me why
Why the politicians promise us lies
and our good poets speak of demise
Tell me why Tell me why
Why does this vain lust gnaw on our poor souls
Why priests forgive us with dead words and wows
Tell me why Tell me why
Tell me why… Tell … Tell me …
Tell me why … Tell…
Tell me why… Tell… Tell me…
Tell me why…. Tell…
Tell me why the streets pave the way to no where
Why that on wall Street they buy and sell shares
Tell me why Tell me why
Why the Lava pours thick from the sea
Why is there trouble for you and for me
Tell me why Tell me Why
Why is there plenty when thats not enough
Why do men speak truths as if they were bluffs
Tell me why Tell me why
Why Lucifer is a child of God
and the almighty seems but a fraud
Tell me why Tell me why
Why they freeze the sperm and the egg
and outlaw abortion while the homeless must beg
Tell me why Tell me why
Tell me why… Tell me…
Tell me why… Tell…
Tell me why…Tell me…
Tell me why…

Is There Another Way

Is There Another Way?
by Greg Englesson
I know just how you feel
it seems sometimes these wounds will never heal
In times such as these... we yearn to be free
we look to no where and know thats where to be
drive fast from here.... race until the end
to drive from there, tell me where you’ve been
down by the river flowing endlessly
the bridge with all it’s cars, washed into the sea
Is there another way
in another day
who can really say
only those who may
Now I sit by the edge of the sea of time
the moon is so full, blue beaming sublime
a jet screams through my head and I know not where I am
rise up and walk away, run into all of them
they bitch and they moan and they want not what they’ve sown
but keep to forge ahead, until they go to bed
they dream of nothing new but dig a grave for me and you
the seeds scatter in the wind that grows from deep within
Is there another way
in another day
who can really say
only those who may
The blight upon the land must go hand in hand
with the rains that gently bath the flat and rolling plaines
and man with all he needs wants more than he can bleed
so suffer that we will until we’ve had our fill
the change is coming soon, such life grows out of ruin
in time we’ll seize the rains and dance to ease the pain
let go of what we know and let it flow, as we let go
sun sets at sun rise as we die to live our lives
