Velvet Elvis 03:50
Velvet Elvis by Greg Englesson One night I was looking out my window and I saw a bright light descend from the sky I got down upon m knees, folded my hands and cried Hallelujah as that space craft hovered over my trembling body a door opened and standing there omnipotent and divine was the second coming of the king of kings... Elvis Velvet Elvis...Velvet Elvis ... Velvet Elvis.... In my Pelvis... Velvet Elvis... Velvet Elvis... Velvet Elvis... In my Pelvis... Well he brought me on board and introduced me to Marilyn Monroe, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, John Lennon, Jim Morrison and Bob Dylan. We ate sushi with plastic forks and roasted marshmallows in the bright light. We talked about things, You know , the state of the world and whether grunge, rap and hip hop was still hip with the college kids. He gave me a velvet numbered painting he did of himself and asked me if I had any questions I ‘d like to ask him. and I said, “How do you do that thing with your pelvis Elvis? Let The Angels Rain by Greg Englesson                                                                                As I walk Along this Earth kicking up the dust and stone I wonder about my worth and if I am not alone I reach my sight over the seas feel a chill bite to my bone and i just wonder what will be when these seeds are fully sown Let the angels rain on me kiss the devil set him free let the angels rain let them ease the pain As the air on which I chock burns it’s way into my lungs I feel the sun inside my throat as I hear the blasting of big guns marching off to distant war this simple song I do strum Pandora’s box cracked opened door into the nation of the dumbed Let the angels rain on me kiss the devil set him free let the angels rain let them ease the pain I saw an angel from the sky bleed face down in the mud she just could not shake the lie as she tried to spread the love no one saw her in the way no one heard her call there black and white turned dismal gray as they all felt her silent fall Let the angels rain on me kiss the devil set him free let the angels rain let them ease the pain let them make me sane let me off this train free the beast they cannot tame Let the angels rain...

about

© ℗ 2006 Greg Englesson
After the demise of his band & appearing as Chronic Citizen Greg Englesson and a string of homespun Mr. E demo's Greg  reemerged with his first solo CD, “Mr. E Demystified" and has been untangling the web of mystery ever since. The Album appeared everywhere with no mention of Greg Englesson due to a digital distribution snafu (there seems to be a plethora of Mr. E's in the world). The Album has been repackaged & rereleased in order to clear the confusion.
"Each song leads the listener down a path of comical, lyrical, and original self-expressive sketches of real life. The CD Mr. E Demystified is a unique and necessary addition to one's collection."
